overview
Our six solid Spruce self-catering lodges all have South facing verandas and occupy a peaceful, elevated site with views towards The Trossachs.
Each is of a spacious, open-plan design incorporating lounge, dining and kitchen areas.
The lounge area has ample seating on comfortable sofas (one of which folds down to a sofa bed for those with extra guests). There is a modern flat screen TV and DVD player.
The dining area incorporates a large, solid wood table with seating for six.
The kitchen has all the mod cons you would expect including dishwasher and washer/dryer.
There is one double bedroom with fitted cupboards and wash hand basin and one twin bedroom with its own hanging space.
Each lodge has a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, w.c. and wash hand basin.
Please note that one of the lodges (McNab) offers a walk-in shower instead of a bath, for less-able guests. This lodge also has a ramp facility.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Each lodge has its own barbeque facility.

We stayed in the Buchanan Lodge, and it was just what we needed. After many days of full Scottish B&B breakfasts and pub dinners, we were eager to prepare our own food in a well equipped kitchen. The cabin was spacious and very comfortable. The interior was kept up and clean. Wifi was hit or miss, but the point was to be on vacation, so it wasn’t a big deal. Driving up the drive past the sheep and the main house added to the charm of the experience. The town of Callendar is just up the road.
