Inchmahome Priory by Ferry

Set on an island in the Lake of Menteith, Inchmahome is an idyllically situated Augustinian monastery dating from 1238. In 1547 the priory served as a refuge for the young Queen Mary, aged four, hidden here for a few weeks following the disastrous defeat of the Scots army at the Battle of Pinkie Cleugh. Aboard the ferry right next to the Lake of Menteith Hotel for a short ten-minute crossing to the island. Explore the beautiful surroundings with your significant other. Pack a picnic and enjoy each other’s company as well as the history of the ground you are walking and explore the ruins of the once magnificent priory.

Scottish Antique and Arts Centre

If you are a vintage and art lover, then this place is for you! The Scottish Antique and Arts Centre has an unrivalled selection of antiques and collectables from Scotland and further afield compliment perfectly the constantly evolving ranges of gifts and home accessories. It also has a Café/Restaurant and delicatessen. A day out to the antique and arts centre is a captivating date with all of the antique shopping peace and fun! After your shopping experience you can have lunch in their own lovely café.

Cameron House Spa

It doesn’t get much more relaxing than a trip to the spa. Cameron house is a gorgeous spa with many amenities. Falls of Leny

The Falls of Leny provide an impressive target on this straightforward walk from Callander. Starting from the town centre the route follows the combined cycle-walkway along the old railway line following the river upstream and then returns through oak woodland before rejoining the cycle track. The Falls of Leny are for our more active relaxers. The walk is surrounded by nature and makes for a peaceful day, whilst still getting your steps in. The view of the falls is unbeatable, the calming sound of the waterfall is just what you need on your couple’s getaway.

Deli Ecosse is a café and deli in the centre of Callander, offering a range of home cooked Scottish based cuisine. All day breakfast, fresh filled baguettes and scrumptious scones and cakes on offer at very reasonable prices.

The Lade Inn serves hearty Scottish locally sourced produce with exclusive house real ales in a friendly, traditional pub. Scottish Real Ale shop on site. Food served all day. Live Scottish bands on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Lade Inn is a short walk from Leny Estate.

The Byre Inn is a cosy country pub offering quality food, beer and wine. Enjoy the quaint interior with exposed stone walls and roaring log fire, just the thing after a long walk in the countryside. They are open 7 days from noon till late.
